12V Cig outlet not working - not electronically inclined
So for the longest time, the outlet under my armrest hasn't been working. I know I had it fixed before at a dealer, didn't know if they did a good job as I rarely used it but now that I am trying to use it - no go.
My Q is, what should I look out for to try to attempt to fix this before taking it to my indy? Not really good at wiring and all that but would want to see if it's an easy fix. Thank you for any advice! |

Could they have replaced a fuse that blew again?
Are you trying to run it w/ the key in the car or no? (Just being sure it's supposed to be on when you are looking for it to be). |

I usually try to use it while the motor is running. I am quite positive that the hadgers I'm using are fine so I'm sure the outlet is busted again.
Is there a diy that I can follow or easy instructions as to how I can rectify this? Have taken the console apart before but aside from that I wouldn't know what I'm looking at. |

Hi,
I was having the same issue I replaced the fuse in the 8th spot with a mini 20 amp fuse and it started working. Before you replace the fuse does your usb port work? |
