Feeler: Intake scoop block plate for e8x cars

I recently installed an intake and went ahead and pulled the intake scoops out when I did so. It highly bugged me that there are 2 big ass holes taking in air that should go to the radiator now.

Stett sells some nice looking intake blocker plates, but sadly no option for us 1er owners.

If I were to get some made, would anyone else be interested? I have a buddy who has a laser cutter who could make these for me. I am thinking to do just clear acrylic to keep costs down, but there is a possibility of aluminum if enough people are interested.

If you're interested, let me know. If I get enough bites ill make the CAD file this week and share! Not sure on pricing yet, but it won't be expensive, maybe $15-30? I'll look into it more. **Note: This should only be used with cold air intakes**

(PS. Sorry if this is in the wrong section)

Sorry, should had mentioned, this should probably only be used for guys running cold air intakes, unless you want your DCI's to eat up only hot engine air

How would DCI users fair with hood vents and blocked intake scoops? Brainstorming now...

It would probably all equal out in the long run. The intake air would be slightly higher temperature, but your cooling system would run more effectively keeping engine temps down when racing. Horsepower losses would be very low as the DCI already sucks in warm air as it is.
