Consensus on ///M Logo?

Ok so based on previous threads it is clear that removing your 135i badge and placing a ///M badge is <word for people of the same sex in a relationship>

But a 135i with a M-Sport package has the ///M logo on the steering wheel (and also on the shift knob and door sills right? anyone confirm this? I cant remember)

So what about a ///M Sport license plate frame? That accepted by the BMW masses or

I believe so. That's more of respect for the ///M without falsely claming your car is an ///M car.

This is a surpise, I thought this was going to turn into a heated debate lol

I was thinking about getting this license plate frame but then I realized no one (except for about .05% of the population) would understand the joke

Mine is the M-Sport and has the M on the wheels too
I left the 135I on the Boot (trunk) and put an "M" badge on the opposite side to balance the look

I respect everyones, choices and they may do whatever they want. But wearing M badge is like me wearing a Michael Jordan jersey. The good way to look at it is that I may be a fan

If it's not a M car, it shouldn't have a M on where the model designation is. You can do whatever you like, but you just get ridiculed by BMW enthusiast, ie, you just look silly.

Now, having M badges on body parts are generally okay as they signify M parts, like the M pack etc, or the M license plate is very acceptable.

Having a M on the other side of that balance of the 135i is probably okay, and I can accept the M fan argument.

The biggest no no is having the ///M where the 135i is. Just like this loser:

I recently walked into the boutique at my local BMW dealer, on the wall there were different license plate frames, all had a designation for the different model cars. So it would be logical to assume that a license plate frame with an ///M would disignate a M model car. The 135i is not an ///M model car, so from me.

"a 135i with a M-Sport package has the ///M logo on the steering wheel (and also on the shift knob and door sills right?"
Right. It's also on the wheels.

"what about a ///M Sport license plate frame?"
Definitely. (I have one.) The "///M" is exactly as on the above items. (There is no "3" or "5" etc. unless you specifically purchase that version.)

FWIW - I removed my "135i" for cosmetic reasons - just to make the car clean, and highlight the Roundel and ///M on the trunk lid.

And then I added something -
Purchased a set of black M3 floor mats (the front ones, especially, fit the 128/135 exactly). Removed the "3." **poof** Instant matching ///M Mats for a 1!!

I'd say deleting the model designation on the back would be better than an ///M badge... I might do that on mine so people don't know it's TT :P

No No No! The parts that come with the M package will have the M logo on there, that is acceptable. But re badging your car with an M logo just looks horrible.

Why not just say "tacky" or "inappropriate"?

In my opinion, owner installed ///M badging on the car itself looks tacky. The license plate frame is borderline for me. It's a matter of trying too hard to portray the car as something it is not.
