OT: VW golf prob (with 1er in BG)
long story short:
-brought vw golf in to fix faulty door lock. -door came back with scratch. -they tried to fix (they werent able to tell me what they were going to do prior), door then had major difference in orange peel compared to rest of car and a nice new dent. -they tried to fix again, they now resprayed both front and back door, orange peel a bit better but still noticeable. dent is also better but also noticeable on angles. now one part of me just cbf following this up and dealing with the dealer and i understand they prob wont be able to get the orange peeling exactly the same. but then what irks me the most is that they caused all of this! and they should be able to atleast totally remove the dent. what would you guys do and what is acceptable in terms of orange peeling? the diff is noticeable to me! first time orange peel orange peel by jksgoh, on Flickr second time orange peel orange peel by jksgoh, on Flickr |

i'm tempted to do just that!
Quote:
re the service manager first time i picked up the car his response to the dent was "every car has dents"... to top it off, they gave us a nissan tida the first time, and a base model nill options previous gen polo the second time (didnt even have key less entry or electric windows!?!!?). as it was to replace a golf, i drove it like a golf should have driven! |

to top it off, the retards tried to wash the car and in the process of doing that have decided to add swirl marks all over the car, and at least one hologram.

any you guys legal eagles?
have been having some issues with vw dealer, who states that we have to bring back the golf for them to rectify it as they did the original repair, and the repair shop is allowed 3 attempts to fix it???. (as opposed to me nominating my own repairer) |

Had a similar issue years ago with my Subaru, door ding fixed poorly by the dealer.
They did it a 2nd time and got dust etc in the clear coat. So I got the shits and went over the side of the car with those adhesive dots from the newsagent. Went in on their busiest morning and had a discussion in front of several waiting customers with the service manager with a poka dot car. They then sent it to the better panel shop they used who did a great job.
