Oh yeah. Since no one pointed it out yet in this thread, light leather interior (and to a lesser extent the coral red one) do get dye transfer from jeans much more easily than black leather (or at least it's way more noticeable). I have oyster interior and I have to wipe down the leather seats at least once a week or else it starts turning blue from my jeans. So that's definitely an advantage for getting a black colour interior.

What are you guys rockin for colour combos?
FWIW, I have sapphire black metallic and coral red. I LOVE it and I get a LOT of compliments on it.

It's not as bad as you would think. I have alpine white on coral red and I love it, wouldn't change it for anthing. I had a black on black leatherette, but the leatherette had started to discolor in certain wear spots (could have been from previous owner though - had 60k miles on it). The bottom of my driver seat does have a slightly darker hue than the other seats, but it's not really noticeable. If you keep up on cleaning it, it will be fine.

The red interior is harder to come by, I don't think the average BMW buyer would purchase a flashy color interior like the coral red. They pop up fairly often for sale and the common exterior colors are black or white.

Jet black on Coral red here. Even in just the few weeks I have had my car I have gotten a bunch of compliments on the color combo. I even had one friend who just gave me a funny look when I told him what I had gotten and later had to admit it looked great when he saw it in person.

When I was picking up my car the sales manager told me she ordered that combo with a manual because it was not very common.

My wife's '11 128i Convertible is Space Gray over Gray Dakota leather...combined with the "sport titanium" colored wheels, it gets lots of compliments.

Ooh, I dig the SG on gray. One of my top choices was a blue paint on that gray interior, or SG on red.

I ended up with Jet Black on red sport interior. Absolutely love it. Some red interiors have too much red on the doors, dash, etc. but I think these cars have the right ratio of color to black trim.

Most people buy off the lot, and few dealers want the headache of exciting color combos. Hence the sea of silver on grey or silver on tan boredom.

I just scored an '08 silver on coral red 135i M sport. Will be picking her up tomorrow and will post some pics.

That has to be a rare combo but it looks awesome.

I never was a big red interior fan. It can be a looker but for a car I live with every day I prefer the classic black leather with white exterior. The shadowline trim works great with that combo too. You can never go wrong with a classic, especially at resale time.

I've got BSM on Coral Red. Fell HARD in love with it the first time I laid eyes on this combo. I still find it a beautiful colour combo every time I'm walking towards the car!

BSM on Coral Red is THE BEST color combo in my eyes. That's how I had my former 135i and I would have never traded it for any other color combo. Simply beautiful, classy and very sporty.
Funny thing is that guys would remember I had a 300hp car and girls that I have a "BMW with red leather interior". That has to count for something :P

I sold mine a month ago to a Mercedes dealership.. It's probably still on sale somewhere in the Montreal area !
