Oil spray upon start up

Hey, always noticed but never really brought it up... Seems every morning or after the car has been sitting for a while, when I initially crank it up I've been seeing oily spray from the exhaust. Now of course I realize its more noticeable upon starting the car after it's been sitting for a while because the car is in it's warm up phase at a slightly higher RPM, but wondering if this is a normal finding?

I DO have 3" catless DP's but stock mid pipe and muffler but with the flapper mod so both tips are open all the time. This has also prompted me to want to get a catch can asap if oil is so easily floating around the motor like that.

water condenses overnight in your exhaust and soaks up all the crap and it gets spit out when you start it

I am not sure about the 1 series in particular, however when my last car did this it was because the turbo seals were going out. Oil also killed my O2 sensors in the exhaust on my previous car.

White is just normal water vapour. The combustion process creates a fair amount of water. When it is cold out you can see it. If you let the car idle for a while, it will build up in the exhaust until you rev it. It will look black because it is mixing with the carbon buildup in the exhaust.

I see many brand new vehicles that come in that have obviously sat idling for quite a while, you can hear the exhaust gurgling through the water build up in the muffler. A couple good blips of the throttle will send LITERS of water out the tailpipes. To get rid of all of it, you have to drive on the highway and get the exhaust good and hot.
