After a little over a year of driving I have yet to ever hear the brakes squeal *knocks on wood*
I am also used to Brembo brakes as I had them for quite some time on my STi. You just cannot use the brakes lightly (read: barely riding the brakes when slowing down). It glazes the pads and removes the embedded pad material on the rotor which will make you have to bed them in again. Cliff Notes version: Mean it when you brake with Brembos. |

mine squueal here in the winter... and by winter I mean occasional streaks of -40 weather... and by -40 I mean both fahrenheit and celsius... so... yeah they squeal but so what? the car still runs and that's enough in those conditions haha
otherwise they're fine... break dust? different story... they say you can only get 2 out of 3: break dust, performance, and noise... manufacturers have to choose.

Side note, I love the last line:

Heh, pretty typical response from a German company. "We engineered it, so it was engineered right. If it isn't working, it's because you're doing it wrong." Along the lines of "if your HPFP died, it's because you filled up with gas from the wrong station."

My brakes squeal all the time. I just live with it and its accompanying annoyance!

Late brakers and commuter freeway drivers are more susceptible to squealing brakes. Proper pad and rotor break in greatly reduces the chances of squealing.

My dealer replaced the pads and rotors because of the sqeak. The new ones squeak even worse that the originals. WTF??? Was just told, there's nothing wrong with them. If they keep squeaking when the weather gets warmer, bring it back in again. Wow! Never had a problem with my 2011 335i, but this 2010 135i has been hell on my ears.
