It's not that bad? Gets mid high 20s on highway trips (when not driven for economy) and high teens on back roads?

In fact, my economy is slight worse on back roads and slightly better on highways than my brothers 128i (aka, same roads and style), which should be pretty spit on the economy of a 135i.

You sure you're not thinking of the fuel guzzling e9X M3?

Yes, those are the EPA estimated mpgs under a very certain set of circumstances. Very rarely are they accurate to what people actually get (for any car). Fwiw, If I'm focusing on mpg's, I can get mid 30s out of the M3 on the highway... And I'm pretty incapable of driving under 85mph, so could be higher.

I get about 15mpg city daily driving it. So EPA numbers are pretty spot on. I refuel about once a week but I also do driving for work purposes.

If I really worked at it, I could get nearly 30mpg in my old e46 M3. Best I can get with my 135 is 26.

By the sound of it 85+ you live on a track, either that or Philli has autobahn like freeways.

Exactly. The opposite of what the EPA would have you think. Their numbers are meaningless.

Everyone speeds here, 100% of the time. Average highway cruising speed is 85, turnpike is more like 90. If you go the speed limit, you're a rolling road block/hazard. It's great
