It's her car and she insisted on 6MT. I've owned 1 AT car in 7 purchases, and that one had to have 2 transmission replacements. (granted, every 90k mi).

wife: "what are you talking about? you don't even know how to drive a stick!"

i had the choice. the only problem that i see is being waken up early in the morning to move my car out of the driveway if i'd be the last person to park.

im still lucky enough to get the manual coz my mom is helping me get one. i once thought that she'd push for the AT.

Wife has her own car. SHE has an automatic. My manual trans keeps her out of the driver seat of my car. I can't even force her to drive it.

Great poll, and it is the only reason I got the steptronic!

Must admit, it is the one regret about my E90, even though it is the best automatic on the market.

Look at all the votes Nikki, wow, more Nikki genius!

My wife pushed, (I voted that I'm whipped), but she's right, I'm too lazy to be shifting ALL THE TIME for a 180km round trip daily.

Yup - got step for the wife. But then she got the 330i for me .

If it was up to her it would have been another SLK. Fair trade in my book.

you have no idea how many guys will come into the service department with a wrecked car and say "yea so my girlfriend/wife was driving and she said she slid into a curb... It wasnt me driving". When I order my car, it will be a manual, because I just get too bored with autos

Stop and Go traffic in and around Chicago (or any major city) can royally suck, so I got the Step. I had a 944 once, and as much fun as that car was, sitting with it in traffic blew.
