Let me re word and clarify
What I meant to say was that I will not be modding the car (maybe a chip and intake) because anything else would be counterintuitive to my purposes of the car. Further it does not make economic sense; it would be cheaper to swap another motor which I will do at some point down the road.

^I would highly recommend chipping the E30. My E30 318is is completely stock except for a Dinan chip that was put in about six years ago.

Let me get this right, so the 325is came with an I6 and the 318i came with the 4 banger?
Whats a common I6 motor that can be found in a junkyard and swapped into a 318i, say, if i happen to buy one in the near future?
