They have been available from dealer since day one! Picked my car up on 6/29 and have DRL's. Maybe your dealer just don't know how to turn them on? |

If I have iDrive, shouldn't I be able to turn the DRL on or off?
Do you have iDrive? Which dealer did you go to?

You can not turn on/off DRL's via iDrive. DRL's has to be turned on by your dealer. My dealer is "Holtz BMW" Rochester, NY Cars built after Sept. 12th can turn on/off via iDrive. Any luck us poor slobs that bought early will be thought of 1 day |

Thanks. I guess my dealer never turned it on for me. Where is the software update for the idrive owners, to allow MP3s, turn on/off DRL, etc, BMW?

Finally got my car back~!! I dont see any fuking changes at my car.. I'm F-ing pissed at Pacific BMW for what they're doing... First of all I didn't get Auto Lock... I didn't get my seat belt clicking noise fixed~! I also had rattling noises from my steering wheel and they didnt fix shiet... and Worst of all... They scratched my rear bumper... An inch scratch... a lil piece is peeling out of the bumper with the paint! What should I say when U.S BMW Service calls me? 1? -1?

I was told my car was not pulling to the right so that was not fixed. Also my seatbelts in the back were fixed, that why I was told my car sat there about a week waiting for a part that was so new to fix the seatbelt it had to be special ordered. |

i am getting my car back from pacific bmw tonight and they told me that the update went successfully. i don't know which version i am getting but i hope they don't put auto locks or DRLs on my car because i don't want those.
i originally brought in the car for B-pillar/seatlbelt rattling and a cracking sound from the rear parcel shelf. they did order parts for me for the seatbelt / b-pillar but totally ignored the rear parcel shelf saying that they could not duplicate the problem. the damn thing cracks every time i drive the car and i even showed the service advisor when i brought it in, but now he tells me that "it was so minor, it was only once..we couldn't find anything". not please with the service at all |

__________________________________________________ __ Question? Did you ask for the car to be programend for the features that you mentioned or did you just request software updates? If you asked for these features, you have a legitimate complaint and I would expect that the dealer would make room in the shop schedule at your covenience. |

you know what is really interesting about the software update to me? You cant install any of there accesories without it... I had been planning to get the update but having my alarm programed was higher on my list. When i got there it took them 2 1/2 days to finish the update, program my alarm which i had allready installed, and install and program on my 6-disc cd changer... It was quite a wait but when i got back in my car it was just amazing to drive... You almost get to used to driving the e90 after a while. Its like you love your car and you know you love your car but when you go without it for a few days and get back in it you really know just how much you love your car.
