WOW DINAN, I DID IT:)

I had the DINAN tune done today at MotorWerks West. All I can say is why has anyone complained of this V.2 tune. This car is scary fast I cannot wait to get my K&W V.3 installe because the car now over powers the suspension. When you touch the gas the car just takes off, I cannot believe the difference in power. The delivery is Big block V8 smooth and does not end till you shift at 6200 rpms. This tune was made for the Paddle shifters the car is so fun to drive. I have the sprintbooster installed which I think is huge with the tune I will take it off and find out. But I cannot tell you all how pleased I am with this decision. Thank you all for your help.

I've read that about it being made for the AT a lot of E90 post. As a MT owner, seems like it takes the shine off a bit.

Latest from E90 post on the Dinan Stg.2 for AT. Seems like it will eventually revert to stock without the update Dinan is working on.

I do have the steptronic, as for a Dinan update the sales manager was at MotorWerks West on Monday and I asked Dave that question. The answer is that it is not true. But I can say this Dinan will be bringing out a DP so now I do not have to worry about voiding my warranty. Also the 135, 335,535, are the cars that Dinan is now targeting for there up coming growth. They say thay they will have these cars will have 450 reliable and warrantied horsepower. They have no worries about customers because BMW is in the process of making piggybacks obsolete on there cars. They see a huge growth potential for there market with up coming BMW ECU revisions. I recieved all this info today, a unnamed source from Dinan said that these were the top Dinan tuners in the east and after today I totally believe them. Thank you Dave and all the guys at MotorWerks for doing a great job today. And I cannot wait to come back for more.

THANK YOU ... I've been saying this over and over. Thanks for the backup.

The car is fast stock....Dinan tune is scary fast and well done.

as for that link ... as best i can tell, the problem only applies to auto transmission cars ... if that's wrong someone please correct me.

Another this I met a really nice guy from the E90 board at the shop today. He has a 335xi that was getting the new update, the new update fixed the emisions issue and gave the car more linear power. He was also very happy with his updated software, and was also a steptronic car.

I may get it tuned towards the back half of my warranty, so its basically extended somewhat by Dinan's end.

You can see about getting a warranty exteneded from Dinan that maybe possible. They sell certified Dinan BMW's at select dealers so it should be possible but you would have to call Dinan. I would speak to Eric he is really a big help.

Stage 2 Performance Engine Software/Boost Upgrade Dinan is pleased to announce the introduction of the anxiously awaited Stage 2 Performance Engine Software for BMW 135i. And as always, Dinan matches the new car warranty coverage for up to 4 years or 50,000 miles, including the possibility of consequential damages. No one offers better performance or backs it up with such comprehensive warranty coverage. The Dinan Performance Engine Software safely increases turbo-boost pressure from the stock 8.8 to 13.2 psi, along with properly retuned fuel mixtures, ignition timing and full map rescaling. In fact, over 2000 engine management functions have been recalibrated, offering substantial increases in power output while maintaining the civility and reliability expected of a Dinan performance product. Some examples include: Remapped Water Pump Speeds. In an effort to more effectively control oil and water temperatures, the Dinan software actually increases water pump speeds as boost pressure increases. Boost Pressure Control. Increased boost pressure exceeds the turbochargers’ design limitations at higher rpm, potentially shortening their lifespan. Dinan addresses this issue by tapering the boost gradually at higher engine speeds. This approach also addresses the fact that with increased boost at higher rpm the turbocharger temperatures would exceed the intercooler’s ability to cool the intake charge, resulting in a loss of power and compromising the long-term durability of the engine. The tapered boost keeps temperatures within the design limitations so as to optimize output and ensure engine reliability with the added boost pressure. Top Speed Governor Removed. With Dinan’s software, the 135 will be capable of achieving its natural top speed as the governor has been removed. The results of Dinan’s tuning are nothing short of breathtaking, with the added boost and related recalibration producing maximum output of 384 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 421 lb-ft torque at 4300 rpm.

Currently, Dinan software is applicable for vehicles equipped with the MSD v80.0 DME (engine management computer). Vehicles equipped with the MSD v81.0 DME are not yet supported. For the most part, the production date break appears to be 3/08, however this is not an absolute so it is best to check the DME label.

Dinan software is not available for purchase on-line as it must be downloaded by an Authorized Dinan Dealer using specialized equipment. Contact your local Dinan Authorized Dealer directly for the purchase and installation of Dinan software.

Have they fixed the cruise control problem yet? Last I read the Dinan flash completely disables the cruise control. Unfortunately I use cruise control quite a bit, so for me that's a deal breaker until it's fixed.
