Smile summer reflections

Fall is in season, winter is coming soon, so it is time for my 128 to sleep for the winter. Had a great summer with the car, very comfortable, very happy with purchase. Drove 10,000 miles through this month, averaged 29 mpg for all driving, motor finally loosened up and am delighted with my choice. Do not miss the turbo at all, love the tight steering and firm but supple ride. This car is a dream, sleep well, see you in spring.:drinking:

Smile my routine

I store in a heated facility, use BMW charger, was and dry before storing, car cover and Stabil in a full tank. Have done this with a number of BMW's over the years with no problems. Besides, the next spring usually has the cheapest cost tank I drive all that summer due to fuel price increases!! Also wipe down dash and all plastic with armorall type products to hydrate plastics for dry winter.

winter

traded that in on a 530 XiT this summer- CPO car. Better mileage and ride. Looks like I got ahead of the curve on that trade, blind pig finds the acorn sometimes.

I will be doing the same thing. What do you think about changing the oil before storing?I have 5000 mi and did a change at 1400. Even though I will only have 5000 mi in the spring BMW will do a schedule oil and other service free once a year.

You could just drive your ONE to Georgia. We drive 'um til they drop around here...then we just put 'um up on blocks and let the kudzo cover them up

Visited my cousin last weekend. She lives in Suwanee and we took a ride to the wine country and did some tasting, good wine and beautiful views.

Smile Winter approaches

The 1 now sleeps soundly, charger works through lighter and new Evo4 cover has the car nicely protected. Sleep tight, see you in spring!

That 530xiT is a pretty rare find--great choice!
