Original 1addicts

Hey everyone... I am curious to see how many original 1addicts are still around here.

To qualify you must have purchased the car new/demo, or, purchased a new/demo E82 and replaced it with another E82

I've had mine for over 6 years

I bought a brand new 2008 135i in 2008 and replaced it with a brand new 2011 135i in 2010. Been reading 1ADDICTS since 2008, didn't sign up to become a member till June 2014, though. Do I still qualify?

Wow you're a long time lurker. I remember doing the same thing but I eventually signed up. So the big question. Which 135i do you prefer more?

Yes, I was a long time lurker and now I'm trying to make up for lost time.

To answer your question, the 2011 with the dual clutch transmission. That's the reason I traded in the 2008 with the steptronic... I wanted the DCT. Fastest auto tranny I ever drove.

I'd prefer a manual, but can't work a clutch anymore. Severely broke my left ankle in 2008. Pretty much just drove manuals before that.

Yep, signed up in late 2008... specifically requested a 2009 model.

Only got around to adding a JB4 a couple of months ago, only 42000km on the clock and still loving it!

Yes the DCT is pretty good. There's a good reason why BMW didn't put in the 1M

I did the same thing when I got word the iDrive was being updated. So glad I waited for it too. 42000km is nothing. You need to drive more!

Haha there's a few ex 1er owners on the CLA forum. You will love the 45. It blows me away how good it is for a bone stock car.

Adrian, you've had your 1er as long as I've had mine. Except you have 2 x N54's with upgraded turbos!

It's hard to say what's my favourite. I've been driving the Macan a lot lately because I'm breaking it in. Filled up the meth tank in the 1er yesterday... can't beat that boost though

That would be a great feeling after waiting that whole time. The 1M will be a classic. I would keep it forever

Got my lovely one 5 years ago.

The biggest "stupid" buy of my life but I don't regret it, it served me well and it will for years to come.

It's now paid for and I plan to keep it until I buy an autonomous car.

Ordered mine Oct 2008, got it 6 months later. GFC, factory "closing down" blah blah.

Best thing I ever bought, even with all its issues.
