the earlier they get your car, the better price for them to sell.....for me, my car is too old to depreciate anymore, therefore they don't bother to take it earlier.

Ray,

How's the car? Did you notice the steering is considerably tighter, like there's little or no power steering?

I guess you must be sleeping in your car tonite, taking in all the brand new leather smell!

The car is excellent. Nice leather smell & inside looks apparently clean without any screws/nails..... True, steering is considerably tighter as compared to my e36 but can't compare to my retired Golf GTI (without power steering). As many of you have commented before, the car is more bumpy... maybe the shorter spring or the run-flat tire.
Not sure if it's my CD (authentic CD) problem but the single disc CD player in the front doesn't work. Will bring another CD to test tomorrow night. Besides, the sound quality is only so-so. May consider upgrade later. one last point, the mileage meter read 87km.. acceptable.

I still remembered how my interior smell like when I pick it up

Yes, the car is quite bumpy due to the suspension and the run-flats but it will soften up abit. You will get used to it and maybe you will think the suspension isn't firm enough after awhile

Seems I have the most trouble when I pick up my car with high mileage, screws, bolts, dirts, etc....

congrats !
When first I receoved my car I smelled engine smell , paint smell.
It took 2 weeks to be able to smell the 'new car smell'.
Some cloned CD may not be readible by car audio but I can play them on my E90.
The standard audio is seriously lack of bass.
Milege 87 is not quite ok, but seems eveyrbody gets over 80 !

I called up Valiant yesterday but they still don't have the blackline tailight or the rear spoiler in stock. The guy doesn't know whether the next shipment will have these items, he only confirm me the price is under $2000 for each

Ray, congrats!! Finally, your wait is over......I switched from E36 to E90 and the steering is found to be tighter (ONLY a bit, actually quite similar). I have heard it's obviously tighter than E46, but I like this feeeling. Yes, a bit bumpy, especially on the rear compared to E36. This bumpy feeling is stronger once I have switched to 17" RFT, I don't know if it's mainly due to the RFT itself. And I am planning to replace the RFT with ordinary tyre once the mileage ~20k. I have 11k now
Looking forward to seeing your car....especailly the Terra interior!!

I had the same CD problem when I first got my e46. But after a few tries, the CD somehow worked. The sound quality is shit when new. It'll get better as it "breaks in", but will still be bad. That's why it's the first on my list to change the audio.

Yes, it's very difficult to get the blacklines now since BMW is having troubles to make them. Anyway, BMWHK has them for HK$2200 now. You may check with them.

Also for the OEM spoiler. I think you can buy them pre-painted in AW.

The E90 default audio sound is below average ( as expected ). There is a significant absence of Bass.
I 'll watching closely as how it goes on your plan to change the audio.
