Does the 1M look better with 18's ???

i think it might....

Aside from that, the handling improvements gained from the Apex 18's with yoko A048 265 at the front and 285 at back is just obscene.

fantastic wheels. i could keep up and eventually pass a 997 carrera S for the first time.

Semis make it look damn tough, but nope 19's look much better imo.

As Stuart mentioned the 18's make it look like its sitting too high?

probably right about a drop, the 19's give the 1m a raised arse, the 18's made the car look flatter
i noticed the lower centre of gravity too, highly recommend for track days

what spec wheels are you running exactly? and how's the front fitment?

agree on the drop, rear specifically

looks like the front offset's are a tad more aggressive on the front too, could just be the angle

Front fitment is perfect, these are the Apex racing parts wheels made specifically for 1m and m3 from the bulk order, there were about 100+ people in on it, the off set is pretty huge but there is no rubbing, i don't know exactly what it is will have to look up the invoice, the tyre is slightly wider then the guard, so maybe just legal??

they are yoko ado48 265's at the front, massive!! turn in is amazing on the hairpins, i can approch corners so much faster, but now there is more pressure on the rears and undertsteer out of corners is little more scary, apparantly the newer Ado50 are even better

I'll be there next month on the 12th

i am hoping to be there for that too, pretty lucky yesterday only started raining about 4.40pm.

with this much grip i can use the brakes less and carry much more speed, the only problem now is staying in my seat. A mate of mine who instructs there showed me what the car can do in professional hands, and yeah, i got a long way to go, but there is way more grip then i thought,

nice! just had a look on their site and they have all sorts of sizes... 10" ET25 or ET33 would probably be good 1m fitment i think?

yeah probably JUST legal, .5deg camber would tuck it in nicely haha

Which track days are these guys? Not Burrows Day are they? I've been wanting to get back to EC but BDDs always clash with my work.

Alex, those tyres and rims look purposeful and good too.

I don't think they look that bad Alex. I like..

There is a few 1M in the states running 18" as their preferred track wheels.

Thanks Joe, the 19's will go back on for normal driving now but i really liked the lower hight of the 1m with 18's.

these are ARDC or Australian Racing Driver Club track days, you don't need to be a member.

with your mods you should definitely do a day Quang, really we should get as many 1ers there as possible and tear it up, book the afternoon session, beginners or intermediate.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on the performance-focused wheels and tyres
Great to see others in our little corner of the world experimenting.

Although still a newbie (with three sets of tyres), I share your sentiments re competition rubber. There is a sweeping corner at Winton Raceway (Vic), analogous to Phillip Island turn #1, which helped me to appreciate the difference between race tyres and street tyres ... in a way, I am terrified to re-fit PSC+/N-spec again!

wouldnt it be the same height? as the 18's would have a higher profile?
