Window Tinting in Extreme Cold?

I have an appointment to have my windows tinted on Monday morning. Here in Ohio, the temp is expected to be 5-15 degrees that day and then warming up only to 20-35 for the rest of the week. Will it be OK to have my windows tinted in the extreme cold or should I reschedule for a week when it will be warmer?

My understanding is that extreme cold can impact the drying time, but if done properly, the tint job should be fine. They will need to squeegee out as much of the application solution as possible, and some shops will even mix some alcohol into the solution to keep it from freezing (and turning to ice crystals) before it has time to dry. Heat lamps can also accelerate the drying process. I'd talk to the shop to get their opinion.

Thanks. I'll talk to them. I don't mind leaving the car there longer if they can spend some extra time with it in a warm garage. I'm sure they would retint too if I had any issues

I just had mine done a couple weeks ago in Wisconsin. Just don't roll the windows down for a week and you will be fine. Might help to also get it out in the sun if there is a sunny day in the near future.

Been 3 days now since I had them tinted and couple of the windows look good but the others have some bubbles... wonder if these will go away or if the single digit temps froze the tint into position with bubbles.. at least i have a warranty on it

Microbubbles are normal for the first week or so. Any reputable shop will re-tint if it is failing, I would just give them a call in a week or so if you are not satisfied with the tint.
