Took about an hour and a half or so to print.
It's very basic didn't add any BMW logo or anything on there because i just don't know how.
But the question is where would you guys like me to upload the file for print?
Here or Thingaverse?

The red addition to the existing cup holder....is the "cup holder"
It allows you to hold two cups!
Or one cup and place your sunglasses in the other.
I could not make the second holder the same diameter because it just didn't fit.
Now that said...I may redesign it such that the second cup is shallower than it currently is. It's great for holding odds and ends like sunglasses and pens and the like but...it's too deep and when you pull the seat forward to gain access to the rear seat it gets in the way.

If someone could 3d print a similar attachment that would serve as a phone holder it would be awesome! *hint*

Interesting. What brand/model of 3D printer did you use? Are you happy with it?

First off i'm sory i have not uploaded the file yet....jut a crazy few weeks at work...will have it up shortly.
The hardest part to design is the interface between the product and the cup holder.
I'll upload that as a different file so you can attach whatever you want to it.
It's not perfect but it works.
The 3D pritner i'm using is a Makerbot 2X which means i'm printing in ABS rather than PLA.
And am i happy with it....um yeah once i took the 3 day Makerbot training i was much happier with it. It's a tool...and it has it's limitations and strengths....and it works well when applied well.

You should create a cup holder for the back seats that sits snug in the little center cubby!

Anyone ever get the file? I want to look into making a phone mount using the cup holder slot.
