Just today (still dirty even) I just replaced by Bilstein Sport/H&R Sport setup on my 332ti with Koni/TC Kline coilovers with adjustable damping shocks. If you think Bilstein/H&R is a good combo.. ho-che-mama, the TC Kilne setup is insane. It feels like a slot car now. Plus, I can infinitely adjust drop and rebound damping.

I'll be doing this same mod on the 135i immediately.

sounds awesome:w00t:. and nice car did you do the engine swap your self. I had a e34 wagon that I dropped a S52 in well turner motorsports did the work.

I'm personally going to wait for bilstein to come out with PSS9 coil over for my 135i. I have a PSS9 system in my E46 M3 and it's awesome.

Not at all. I did go with 500lb springs in front, 600lb in the rear, which is stiff, but since the shocks are easily adjustable from firm to semi-soft, it doesn't seem to bad on soft at all. Definitely livable.

The real test is tomorrow though.. last autocross event in the Boston Chapter series. :roundel:

It's a 5 yr old swap, done by Damon at German Autosports. The suspension was done at the same time, and it was definitely time for a new suspension. I bought the car about 6 months ago, and have put about $5k into it since. It's pretty tight now, and I think people like to see it running. Since it has the semi-rare California top, it's fairly one-of-a-kind.

It's fun getting those "what the hell do you have in there" questions.

Curious to see what effect that will have on the shocks.

I have the TCK DA's on my 330 with 500# springs all the way around. It is really a great all around setup for street and track.

I talked to TC at O'Fest a couple of weeks ago. He has a 135 on order and said he would have a package out in just a couple of weeks from delivery since everything is based on the E90 setup.

Awesome! Sounds like you have a nicely dialed in car.

For me, I can't wait to autox tomorrow to rip through a few slaloms. Since the 'ti is about 400lbs lighter than your e46, it's probably a bit firmer, even with similar spring rates.

That's fantastic news about the TC/135i. I assumed he would be a front runner, seeing this little car is going to be a track junkie's delight.

I'm already buying parts for the car. Im ordering the springs, got the air filter, AA blow off valve for starters. Am I nuts?
I believe the spring rates for the rears on the street perf. coilover kit will be 450 lbs. Not sure about the fronts, but from what I hear, it will be kind of conical in shape and I would imagine the effective spring rate will be near that of the rear.

I'm sorry that you've never experienced breasts that needed ABSOLUTELY NO work done to them. a really nice boob job will still never compare to a set of perfect naturals.

When you say "based on the e90 setup", does that mean it shares the same susupension as the e90???

I hope it's true so I can use my e90 parts instead of selling them for less money.

From what TC said, he is expecting the same parts with just different tuning based on wheelbase, weight, balance, etc. There could be a few differences, but odds are not in that court. He said that they should be able to get the shock tuning completed in a day or two at the track and have the packages ready to go.

Personally I hate the sound of a blow off valve. It is the type of sound I wasn’t to keep to a minimum on a car such as the 135. Save it for the Subaru’s.

How is H&R coil over? Other alternatives? I keep hearing Tein but I don't know how good either company is. Someone please chime in.
