Agree with Aryton91 - I think most of the dealers are in the dark regarding the allocation process. The lack of clarity on this issue, if not ameliorated soon, will create a lot of unnecessary resentment. After speaking with my CA it sounds like they can do little besides wait for notification from BMW NA that the dealership has received a production slot. When that happens could be a matter of days, weeks or months.
In other words, be prepared to wait without any idea when your production slot might become available. This really throws a wrench into people planning ED or PCD delivery since it's difficult to schedule a major trip with such little notice. |
