Worst comment you've received?
Thought I'd start a post with the worst comment you've received about your 1. Here's mine: I was going to the movies with a friend and a guy stopped me in the parking lot and asked me how I liked the one. Of course I started gushing about its awesomeness (or awesometivity? not sure). He proceeded to tell me how he went to the dealer to check them out and there wasn't one on the lot so he bought a mini instead. Then he told me "it's a really cute car." The conversation ended there and my friend said the look on my face was priceless.
So what's your story?

A friend walked around the car to check it out. He loved the look. Then, he went to the back and saw the 135i badge and laughed. Said the badge made it look cheap. Dumb@$$ badge whore.

Comments that get too me are people that think they know everything. I have literally had a guy tell me that I can't put downpipes on the 335i they are only for turbo cars. That BMW doesn't make a turbo car. I kept my mouth shut and let him go on and on......all the time knowing we made the first DPs for the N54.

Cute
Yeah, before I got my 1, I was telling a girl I work with about it. She said she's seen them and then she said it was cute. If she were a he I would have punched him! Heh, just kidding.
Another friend of mine described it as a poor man's M3, although that may be more of a compliment. |

when i was car shopping my friend told me not to "downgrade to the entry-level wannabe bimmer".
i let him drive the 135i a week after i got it and now he's trading in his Z4M roadster in a couple months to get his own 1-series |

Some jack ass in a hyundai pulled up and said "nice ride couldnt afford the real thing." Out of no where my wife shoots back "my shoes cost more than your hyundai you ass, now drive along now"...I nearly fell over..she is very proper women, completely unexpected. My insanity may be rubbing on her.

While the guy in the hyundai was a dumbass, I think I wouldve cringed a little if my wife (dont have but you know what i mean) had brought up our economic status in order to potentially harm someone else. If I were in that situation, I would have rolled up the window and sped off with a smile, all the while knowing I've come into ownership of an amazing machine. |

The wife was right on. She should have said, "I could sell my shoes and buy your family, welfare-boy." I have no problem being rude to idiots who are rude in the first place...The Hyundai says it all anyway.................

Was at an auto-x when up comes this guy I work with. We had spoken of the 135 in the past though he had not yet seen the thing. When he finally laid his eyes on it he made an out-of-character ever-so-slight cringe. Pretty funny. Hey, I never said it was pretty.:wink:Still more muscular than his Evo.
