Detailer's Domain: BMW Z8 - Full Correction/Engine/Interior
Subject: BMW Z8
Requirements: Remove swirls and imperfections from over the years. This was a car that was in great shape, not much needed on the inside at all. This Z8 had tons of gloss. However upon closer inspection we found the paint imperfections. Take a look at how we fixed them. Exterior - Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes - Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down - Wheel wells were cleaned up - Washed with 1Z einszett W99 - Aquartz Iron Cut - Wash down and rinsed - Door jambs were cleaned up - Nano Scrub AutoScrub - Dried - Tires dressed - Masking - Paint Measurement - Meg's M105 with Surbuf and Griots Orbital - Sonax 5/5 Fine Abrasive Paste - Microfiber DA Cut Pad - Griots Orbital - Sonax 3/6 Nano Polish - Uber Green Pad - Griots Orbital - Lusso Oro was used as a last step - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight - Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed - Rubber and Plastics Treated - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Exhaust tips cleaned - Windows were autoscrubed, cleaned, and sealed Products used Links to products used - 1Z einszett W99 Aquartz Iron Cut Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner NanoSkin AutoScrub System Meg's M105 Sonax Compound 5/5 - Coming Soon Lusso Oro Adam's Super VRT Optimum Metal Polish Wolf's Rim Shield Interior 1Z Cockpit 1Z Plastic Deep Cleaner 1Z Leathercare Griot's 3 inch Random Orbital Polisher Uber Ultra Interior Brush for Orbital Polishers Engine Adam's APC Adam's In and Out Spray Tools used Uber Wool Wash Mitt Uber No Name MF Towels Griot's 6 inch Random Orbital Polisher Griot's 3 inch Random Orbital Polisher Uber Buffing Pads Defelsko Paint Meter Fenix TK35 Brinkmann Kranzle Pressure Washer Cam Spray Foam Canon 2 Grit Guard Buckets with Caddies Uber Firehose Nozzle Metro Air Force Blaster Polishing the seat backs with the Griots and Adam's 4 inch Focus Pads Not a great shot but as you can see the mat on the left was not cleaned up and the one on the right has been cleaned with the Griots 3 inch polisher w/Uber Ultra Interior Brush and 1Z einszett Deep Cleaner After Interior Prep - Car Wash/Decon/NanoSkin/Wheels/Tires/Engine Convertible Top Cleaned Wheels were not too bad Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner in action Wheel Woolies used to clean the barrels out Wheels cleaned Wheel wells power washed Before engine After engine Wolf's Rim Shield used on the wheels Wheels and Tires all done Imperfections that we were up against Compound and Polish - 50/50 shots This was after compounding (various panels on the car) After Before After Afters under the lights Afters Enjoy |

Looks awesome. Nice job on the paint. I prefer to pull the wheels and clean them inside and out.
