Congrats mate! What was the original price of the car? I just need to get the percentage of discount so i have a rough idea of the 135 market.

..we had the same thing, the sales guy there was a complete jerk-off.
He treated Sarah and i like a couple of idiots, gave us a ridiculous price and then just got up and left us sitting in his office for at least half an hour.
So while he was away i had a look on his computer and located our car in Queensland, we just walked out of Stilwells and rang the dealer that had the car (Westside BMW in Brisbane) and bought the car for $10K less than the dipshit salesman at Stillwells wanted to charge us.

What a dope to leave his system on while he jerked off outside the office, whilst giving you full access to his data base...

what a cock.
This guy who was a jerk with me, "Marcus" really does the dealershp down. I would of bought my car at stilwells if he was more trstworthly. He just glowed "bullshit artist". Had a fake rolex on and bragged about his bmw set of wheels and then wasted my time.

His loss.
I am assuming salesman wor on commission? like a realestate agent?

anyone know?

Any ideas of selling my car--mx5---private or via another dealer (not part of trade in)
whats best way to sell privately?-websites?

or selling to a used car dealer? or directly to a mazda dealer?

cheers

Melbourne BMW is the best . I promise to look at the new Z4 but did not get around to it. My next change will be a 4WD... 2 years from now I hope there is a new X5.

I have to reserve my judgement on Bib Stillwell. I work with a senior colleague that related to Bib... .

stick it on www.carsales.com.au
Be realistic with the price and it will sell in no time.

There is a X5M. 0-100 in 4.7s! At this stage they are not planning to bring to Australia, but hopefully they will by 2 years time.

Try MX-5 forum and sale privately. Carsales.com.au is more popular than others like drive.com.au

No Mazda dealer is good taking your car. They all go by their trade wholesales price.

Hahaha Kev, just saw what you drive on your profile thing. You should post up some pics on your signature of the MINIS doing jumps and 2 wheels stunts!

Just bought mine from BMW Sydney. Monaco Blue/Beige/Grey Poplar 135i convertible. It's a demo with 1500km on the clock. Ivan was extremely helpful. He swap the silver trim (sport pack) to Grey wood trim as my request from other car, new black carpet, remove rust from rear brake hub and paint them to prevent rust. I promised that he will get all excellents when i get the survey call from BMW AUS.

Well done!
Survey call? I was told I'd get this (I've got a LOT of bad feedback I want to give...) but 8 months later it hasn't happened.

See that's interesting, I got dicked around by Melbourne BMW, despite saying I wanted to sign up and buy the car that day, they didn't return phone calls, said they were 'too busy' to deal with my inquiry.

One phone call to Stillwells, got a professional salesman with excellent customer service, an extended test drive when the car was in hot demand and a great price. I'd buy my next BMW through that salesman again, no questions asked.

Mate of mine works at a Sydney BMW dealership..LOW retainer and work your nuts off for extra commission is the go..

Now thats at a Franchise dealer I should state... Could be a different kettle of fish for a BMW owned dealership.

DVD's and nothing else. No TV, and I couldn't get download videos to work. Only commercial DVD's. I'm not sure whether the DVD's are restricted to region 4. I have the 10 speaker upgrade which sounds OK to me but verts are loud on the road so I decided not to get the most expensive audio upgrade.
