Premium Sub Speakers for Sale...
I upgraded my premium audio system (well the subs under the front seats). So I've got the stock sub speakers from the premium system laying around. If anyone is interested, send me a pm and an offer. I'm not too picky

Hey woodman650,
How did the install go? Were you treated well? Any rattling as others have mentioned? Hope you got the type of sound quality you were looking for...

oops, haha sorry guys I forgot to subscribe to the thread and got busy with work... forgot about this. Anyway, I'm going to just throw out the OEM speakers if nobody wants them. $50 for both, including shipping? Let me know via PM.
Anyway... haha, didn't mean to tease! I got the 8" shallow earthquake speakers. They did not have to remove the seats or change much of anything. I also got a 400W Kicker amp just for the subs. WA128, yes. I was treated very well. Scott and Jeremy were awesome and a lot of fun to work with. I thought the price was a bit high on the amp, but everything came together so nicely that I had no complaints in the end. The sound feels MUCH fuller. The bass literally shoots up my spine. The notes are clear and punchy. The subs under the seats are good for quick bass hits like rock, metal, not droning rap or hip-hop type music. You'll need a G-blasting trunk box for that :P There is a little rattling, and the sound is HORRIBLE outside of the car. You're going to piss off a lot of people near your car if you crank it up, purely because the sideskirts vibrate a bit and create a pocket in which the bass gets diluted. So it sounds like droning instead of clear bass hits. I dunno, I sit inside the car while I drive so I don't really care I still spend about 60% of the time listening to the exhaust anyway Let me know if you have any other questions. I'll subcribe to the threat right now |

You are getting the same rattling outside the car that others are?
Hmm, I didn't notice it when I checked mine. Maybe I will turn it up a bit and check again more closely. I doubt mine can be any different than the others. |

it's not so much a rattling... it's more of just a washed out droning sound. Could also be the music I'm listening to
http://www.earthquakesound.com/mobileproducts.htm adrean... the brand is Earthquake I honestly could not tell you the inner workings. I literally took it to the audio shop, gave them the pieces and they put it together. You could write these guys an email and inquire though: http://www.speakerlab.com/ Tell them that they did a couple of set ups recently with 2 earthquake subs and a kicker amp for the 135s and you would like to know how they did that. They may not provide specifics but they are very helpful gentlemen. Thanks |
