Hi,

I just got some Forgestar F14's. I believe they are 18x8.5 ET48 and 18x9 ET50.

Do you think I'll be able to fit the Yokohama AD08's with a 235/40 up the front and 265/35 at the rear without rubbing?

If it rubs, will a roll of the fenders suffice to stop any issue?

I'm on stock suspension but I have an E88 so I sit considerably lower than a stock E82.

it might rub in the back and a fender roll should do the job if your on stock suspension

I'm a bit worried because I read some posts saying 225 and 255 rubbed on stock wheels and E82 suspension.

I also think the front will rub the strut on the inside. Because my pss 234 is really close and the ad08s run like 10 to 15 mil wider

AD08 are 5mm wider then the Mitchelin super sports.

From what I have read 235 Semi Slicks on 45 offset may need a small spacer to clear the strut.

I'm running near worn out 225 star spec atm and they are super close to the strut. Thinking of ordering 235's soon and seeing if I need to install a spacer or not. I am running 2 degrees neg camber on the front so should have enough room for a spacer if needed.

I'd be more concerned about the back - I am running 9.5 58mm wheels with 265 star specs. Rubbed on speedhumps and big dips. Had the fender rolled and no rub anymore. No way 265 would work with 9.5 50mm - unsure how the smaller diameter wheel will effect things.

That what the spec says but they are wider then star specs. My 235 pss on et 45 rims are 3mil from the strut on stock suspension

I've run both PSS's and Potenza RE-11's @ 265/35/18 in the rear with no issues. For the 235/40/18's up front I added Velocity motorsports 3mm spacers once I got the RE-11's because they rubbed the strut on the inside.

I'm not certain how the AD08's compare to the Potenza's, but I'm guessing they are close since the Potenza's are super wide with a square sidewall. I have Apex Arc-8's with an identical offset up front so I'm pretty sure you'll need a 3mm spacer. As for the rear my offsets are quite a bit different so I'm not totally certain about whether you'll rub but mine does fine with 265's in the back

I tried mounting the wheels without any tyres on them on the weekend. There seems to be lots of clearance at the back but the fronts sure are tight. I'd estimate about 2-3mm space between the rim and the strut and it sticks out a fair bit wider.

As the AD08's have wider/squarer shoulders, would that mean running smaller sizes (e.g. 225 and 255) would be equivalent to running a tyre with rounder shoulders such as the PSS in the above specs?

Running 235/40-18 Michelin pss on forgestar 8.5-45 with no rubbing on the Strut. The fender though I have had a couple times when I've rubbed on hard bumps. I have some Dinan camber plates. Not sure how much total negative camber is dialed in though.

My 235/40 AD08s on 8.5" et45 rims do not rub on the strut. They did sometimes rub on the fender with -2.0 camber, but not with -3.2 camber.

So I'm running the apex ec7 wheels the 1 series fitment, no fenders rolled.

With the neova ad08 225/40F and 265/35R, and can confirm no rubbing on m-sport or coilovers dropped 1.5 inchs with -1.5 camber on the rear. (PM me if you need a picture.)

Actually, on second thought, I'm running a 5mm spacer on the front for better inner clearance and better flush fitment. You can work out the final specs but no guard rubbing or anything with 4 people in the car and on hard cornering.

Yup AD08's run a bit meatier since they're considered a high performance street tire.
