not surprised, you only have to look at current commadores. rip offs of 3 series beamers of a few years ago.

I don't think it looks much like the 1coupe... The only similarities really is the waistline going from front fender to the rear?

I wouldn't call it a rip-off either. It looks like a decent small car. If it has decent engine I would definitely cross-shop it with the 1 series if I lived in the USA.

I see similarities with an e82, problem with the article is they're calling it a 130i copy, the 130i is an e87, in which case it looks nothing like a 130. Details I know and I wouldn't expect a journalist to get it right, even if they're supposedly motoring experts.
