To answer DR-JEKL's question above, my E90 has climate comfort windscreen. Not a standard feature though. Its not actually polarized but has a metallic layer there.
A couple of weeks ago I got the 135i windscreen replaced by from O'briens. Its a long story, but after involvement with NRMA insurance claims department, O'briens agreed to do Genuine BMW glass for $790. That somehow turned out to be $10 under my $800 insurance excess, so no need to process a claim (No involvement with insurance company for them). They guy assured me he does a lot of BMW screens every week - Since being in eastern suburbs I guess. Anyway the job seems to be basically fine. The weather strip had wrinkles but straightened out nicely after 2 hours parked in the sun. So far everything is working. If it happens again and NRMA is paying, I'll probably get BMW to do it. |
