In any case, if that's true, then I'm a bit disappointed the advertised specs are without driver. Oh well.

Also, I doubt your lightweight wheels account for 100 lbs. I mean, even if they are as light as 15 lbs each, you aren't going to eliminate 25 lbs per corner (meaning the originals are 40 lbs each, which I'm certain they aren't).

And, Vigilante .... I do consider this a porker, frankly, considering my previous GTI was a couple hundred pounds less while offering TONS more space inside. I chose the 1 over the 3 just to save some weight. BMW really needs to start shaving the pounds across the board. Hell, even Chevy, the king of obese, has worked hard on the ATS to keep weight down, so I'm sure it will be no problem for BMW.
yeah more like 80 lbs lighter. the wheels are 15 lbs which is less than half the weight of the rear wheels plus my tires are 5 lbs lighter than RFT. for corner balancing they can have you sit in the car or just calculate your weight into the equation.

Im not sure how accurate this app is but i downloaded it about a week ago and after messing with it this is what i got yesterday at 5:39 on a strip by my work. Unfortunately i had started a bit far up and couldn't run the complete 1/4mile but here are the times 0-60 in 4.04 seconds 60' was 2.25 @ 32.8 mph 1/8 mile at 8.0 at 100.1 mph and the 1000' mark at 10.2 at 103.5mph. Mods are JB4 and dci with gforce tires on the back measured 369 whp

that is an impressive 0-60! any wheel spin in first and second? also did you secure your phone? it needs to be tied down otherwise the numbers will be off. your horsepower is at the crank and not wheels.

the phone was secure and could not move wheel spin a bit end of first but hooked well in 2nd and according to the dynolicious depending on how you set it up it does wheel hp as well. Basically i brake boost until about 1500or so rpm then hit full throttle and that was the result. Have to mess with the settings as this run was actually a 435 hp run until i seen how to set it up for wheel hp.

I highly doubt that was an accurate run. I have yet to see any N54 on stock turbos trap 100mph in the 1/8th mile even with meth. For the record, when I ran a 12.3@117mph at my track, my 1/8th mile was 8.130@91.64mph.

I have my doubts too. I will be testing it again this week and will post the results here again. Hopefully i can get 2 or 3 runs this time as well as the full quarter with enough space to stop. I think its a ok starting point though. As far as being accurate i will see when i go to the strip and run it against the actually time clocks there. I will also post those times up here and ahve a printout as well. Not so much for yall as it would be for myself and to see how accurate this actually is. The main reason i got this app was to see the 0-60 times and figure out the launch with a controlled amount of wheel spin.

just came back from another pull. this time I have a tune (procede) with less than 20 miles clocked. so the tune has not totally adapted. forgot to turn off TC and the car totally bogged down but again the horsepower rating is spot on with what procede advertises with my mods (379 hp).

I found the pic of the pull with settings at the 15% loss for hp that i had run 3495lbs for the car roll out was at 12 but that is what the settings were. Posted it with the other chart to show it

not sure if I understand. the time stamp is the same but the results are different. what did you do and why the second graph shows more power?

Thats what i was saying about setting it up for wheel horsepower. The chart with the higher hp was actually the crank hp pull then i re adjusted the setting to make it whp and that is what i got the 369 WHP. i save the charts both times is what i am showing one in chp setting at 15% which was 435 and then the wheelhp setup which was 369

how do you change between wheel and crank? your numbers would make sense if you had FBO with meth otherwise your 369 sounds about right for crank with your mods. very strange

I believe that the app running off of the actuall acceleration of the car and gforce is making it from the wheels so when you adjust the 15% it actually adds the 15% to what it would have shown at setting 0 which would be wheel hp

Go into my ride and edit it for drivetrain loss look at it it says for wheel hp set to 0 which is why i believe that if you put 15% its just adding that amount to the number its getting from the calculated acceleration and gforce for the whp.

well my original pull with stock engine and 15% drivetrain loss yielded actual crank HP advertised by bmw. my second pull with procede tune and again with 15% loss yielded actual HP advertised by procede. I am not familiar with JB4 but from what I understand they are roughly the same. so your original #'s IMO represents what you should get from your mods from the crank. maybe someone else would care to chime in

Which is why i believe if you set the drivetrain loss to 0 it reports actuall whp. This is a dyno chart from burgertuning runing 91 oct i believe with the jb4 and dci. I am running on 93 octane and have dci and jb4. It produced 367.2.

Can't wait to see what you do at the strip to compare with these dynolicious numbers.
