8 coats of einszett glanz wax - take a look

LOOK! - 8 Coats of 1Z einszett Glanz -- (updated as it maybe correct to say 8 applications)

Recently 1Z einszett Glanz peaked an interest when I saw Tommy's WRX Wagon in World Rally Blue (our clear film installer) I was blown away by the depth, gloss, metallic pop! It turned out to be Glanz....7 applications! I was speechless!

I finally had a chance on Thursday to work on my car. The first wash in 2 months! (yup I just said that)

The car didn't need any claying just a good wash and Menzerna Super Finish with the Flex 3403 and an Uber Green Pad.

7 out of the 8 applications were done within a couple of hours with a PC 7424XP using an Uber Black Pad. After applying the Glanz on the whole car I removed it with an Uber Classic MF Towel. The 8th coat was done today (car was rinsed prior)

I threw in some random shots of the car as well.

Take a look:

Enjoy

Looks great Phil, I love the new S4.

FWIW I detailed my brother in laws 328xi yesterday and used another einszett product- Einszett Metallic Polish and Wax as a 1 step. I was happy with the ease of use and removal and the final results. If it were my car I'd top it with something probably but it worked good for what I was trying to achieve- the best result in the least time necessary.

Very nice...

That's it, I'm doing 10 coats next time! More wax than paint...

thanks in part to this review, i purchased a few qts. of this wax and applied one coat this weekend. i guess i'm not that die-hard of a detailer, i originally wanted to do multiple coats. after one though, i'd lost interest but the finished job looked amazing to me! thanks for the recommendation

Been using 1Z Glanz for a year now. I followed the same application and removal as you did (PC 7424XP + black pad + MF towel removal). It is soooo easy to apply to the whole car this way.

I've read that Glanz should be applied in smaller areas, as it may streak. I've not found that to be the case, and I can apply to the entire car (in about 10 minutes), then go back and remove residue quite easily.

Great post, and car looks fantastic.
