Detailer's Domain: Toyoto FJ Cruiser New Car Prep
A great customer of mine recently picked up this FJ Cruiser and requested a new car prep.
What was done - Exterior - Plastic film removed - Dealer badges and license plate covers removed - Wheels were prepped and a coat of Prima Wheel Armour - Tires were spritzed down with Adam's APC and dressed with Prima Nero - Wheel wells were cleaned up and dressed - Wash down and rinsed - Door jambs were cleaned up - Clayed - Dried - Paint inspected and measured - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight - Paint was pre cleaned - Prima Finish - FJ was sealed with Prima Epic - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Exhaust tips cleaned Interior - Vacuumed - Wipe down and treated - Windows were cleaned - Plastic film and tags removed Products used Exterior Lusso Auto Bathe Uber Clay Bar Kit Prima Hydro Prima Clarity 3m Adhesive Remover used to clean up adhesive from badge Prima Finish Prima Epic Wheels and tires Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner Prima Nero on the tires Prima Wheel Armour on the wheels Adam's All Purpose Cleaner Interior Sonax Dashboard Cleaner Sonax Leather Foam Prima Clarity Engine Adam's In and Out Spray Adam's All Purpose Cleaner Tools: Infratech 5300 Fenix TK11 Brinkmann Fenix TK40 Porter Cable 7424 XP Kit Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels Uber Drying Towels Brushes Cam Spray Pressure Wash and Foam Canon Attachment Kwazar Mercury Pro + Bottles Interior Foot prints from dealer (probably happened when they installed the roof rack) Removing film Dirt on the seat belts Sonax Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner on the foot prints/belts etc Vac Sonax Dashboard Cleaner After shots of the interior Before shots Plate frames removed Removing film Debadging Adam's APC on the tires/wheel wells Foam action Rinse/Clay Drying Nero on the tires Masking Inspection Prima Finish followed by Prima Epic Wheel Armour on the wheels After shots (Permission for the write up granted by the customer) |

those are pretty cool trucks. Too bad they didn't have a soft top option or some type of canvas sunroof- these trucks are meant to be open!

As always - looks fantastic.
How do you like Sonax Dashboard Cleaner? How does it compare to Adam's VRT?
