It feels 1000% better than the non sport original wheel.
Welcome to the wash your hands 10 times a day to keep the wheel clean club.

I use dish soap.

I recommend those 1$ hand sanitizer gels and watching where you sneeze. Lol
Edit - not a good idea

A lot of those have a lotion/leave a residue.

I was actually serious about the dishsoap. Leaves nothing behind.

Hands to prevent it from getting dirty in the first place.

For cleaning, just get a clean but well used towel(so all the towel lint has been washed out) and wet it with water(not soak it). Put it in your hand without folding it, grab the wheel through the towel, and twist it back and forth. Once you are satisfied, repeat with a dry towel. Smooth all the fibers in a consistent direction. Then leave your windows cracked for the remainder to dry.

Look up Coby wheel webpage- he has a guide using a $3 nail brush. Just be gentle, round motions using finger pressure -no need for wrist. I didnt bother with soap as per his instructions not yet anyway

This is what i did on mine. It helped but it certainly could use more. I also use a toothbrush a bit to get the fibers to come back to life some. Regardless i'm not really too concerned about looks. It's substantially more comfortable to the touch as well as to grip, and with gloves it feels even better.

I'd just do it again. The instructions that Alcantara provides stipulates just water for the vast majority of cleaning.

I was in the market for a better performance car than my DD Scion tC for 10 years. I just want to say thanks to everyone because I made my choice on a 128i after reading numerous posts here. It's a 2012 Cashmere Silver 128i w/ M-sport package.

Love driving it. I wouldn't believe it if anyone told me that I'll fall in love with the NA engine sound before. Cheers!

Keeping steering wheel clean

1. driving gloves: for years and years Europeans (and myself) have used driving gloves $35 at Bav Auto
2. mechanics gloves: ECS Tuning have a new model out, $12.95
3. Golfers gloves: I think you buy in sets of 3, either left or right hand so buy 1 of each.

Yes I do.

Prior I had to launch around 2k to avoid massive wheel spin. At that event (NCM Motorsports park, the same surface they use on the track) I had to launch at 3k to 3.5k to prevent the car from bogging

How did the diff impact the rear sway bar? I recall you have the M3 e92 one in the back and before mentioned that without diff it's no that good

I have a UUC 19mm bar.

I still like it back there. I think the car is more neutral with the diff + rear bar

Ha I upgraded my DD from the same car to the same car like you did, 2007 Scion tC to 2012 128i, except I have a Mini Cooper and a Challenger in between.

Congratulations on your new car!

Hey guys, I am new to the forum, new to BMW 1 and even BMW. I realized this was more like an open thread, that's why I am posting here.

I took a 2011 128i coupe for a test drive today. It was one of the cars I always wanted to drive and well I am amazed with the purity of the car.. love at first sight.

The car has 38k miles on it, it has the sports seats and sports suspension (which I couldn't really tell) and it's a CPO from the dealership for $20k.
I didn't really notice any imperfections aside from the rattling sound from the left window.

I just wanna have 20 minutes of joy before and after work aside from weekend trips. Since it's going to be my one and only car the reliability is quite important to me.

I am hoping to hear your advices.. THANKS!!
