Should I go OEM or Weather Tech for winter...

mats. The weather techs look pretty nice and possibly would work better (hold more slush/water) than the oem all weather mats. I have not see either in person, and would like anyones personal experience with either one.

TIA

I have the BMW rubber mats. I love them. I use them all year round. I did opt for the euro version of the rubber mats. On the driver's mat it has carpet where your heels rest. Everything else is rubber.

euro front mats - bmw part #51470429182
rear mats - bmw part #51470427217

Btw... I have had WeatherTech mats on my older cars. I loved them too. I remember once, I spilled a huge XXL softdrink (BigGulp or the like) and the mat held all the liquid! I was amazed. Made for a tricky exit on getting that full mat out. I ended using a wet/dry vac!

Same here. My quick opinion is - the OEM mats are great, fit perfectly, and don't cost that much. I see Weathertech as a great option for anyone that doesn't have the OEM option like we do.

I'm happy with my OEM and use them all year as well. In the front, back and trunk.

I just picked up the DigitalFit Weathertech front liners for the upcoming winter season. I purchased the OEM BMW rubber mats for the remainder of the seasons as carpet is just too tricky to keep clean

I have Weathertech mats. They're definitely nicer than the BMW rubber mats. But for Minnesota, I recommend the Weathertech liners.

My OEM rubber mats say BMW, That's really the only reason I bought them over the weather tech mats. I don't have to deal with slushy snow where I live either.

Bonus: those ugly red "WEATHERTECH" logo stickers peel right off.

Mine came with hooks. It's a pain to swap the hooks with the velcro circles, but I only need to do it twice a year.
