I also made my own camera mount. At first I used a straight alloy bar like yours Tomy. But I found it next to impossible to turn on my camera or start to record videos in that position.
I went to my local German hardware store and bought some C-hooks that are meant for the tops of step ladders. I used one of these C-hooks. Here is what I ended up with: Atfirst I used wing nuts to hand tighten onto my passenger headrest. But I found they would make noise as I drove. So now I use M8 nuts and use a soocket/ratchet to tighten down the nuts. Works like a charm. For the camera pivot mount... I used a SILK medium ball head - $30 from Amazon.com |
