02/08 build and an lsd - anyone done this?

Hi all Want to put an lsd in my car but there appears to be massive confusion as to the diff type (welded or bolted) that I have. I am trying to avoid having to drop the diff to find out. Spoken to manufacturers and even poor Andrew at SouthernBM has received conflicting info. Has anyone ACTUALLY put a lsd in a 02/08 car and what diff type was it? It's a long shot, but thanks for looking! edit - tis a manwel

AFAIK anything after a mid 07 was welded?

Are you MT or AT?

Thanks for the reading drjekl. Only adds to my confusion! The odds favour the welded diff. Hoping to avoid the expense of this option. Not sure I can justify a $3000 option. Ps As I edited above, the car is a manual.

Hmm well I'm no expert but I believe you would have a welded diff (I read somewhere that bmw developed this technique as it was a cheaper to reduce productions costs)

I have a BNIB wavetrac for sale that will suit all years of 135i's MT for $1100 (if you're bolted it bolts straight in, if you're welded you would have to machine and drill the ring gear to fit it - well the diff specialist would not you personally!)
