Does anyone know what projector type is in the new BMW 2006
3 series? Also, is the bulb philips or Osram? The new buld is A D1S
not a D2S like the 2005 even though a D2S can replace a D1S.

The projector lens is custom made for BMW

The bulb is the new D1S bulb with integrated balast, not the old D2S type with external balast

Both Philips and Osram supply BMW with bulbs, but most initial D1S bulbs were Osram

All BMW models have/are changing to the new D1S bulbs away from the old D2S

You mean retrofit Xenon lights

Yes it is for LHD, there is a retrofit kit from BMW
The RHD ( our SA cars) kit is not out yet

But it is very expensive since you have to buy new headlights, a wiring kit, a new light control module and have it all intalled and programmed

It wont be under R15,000 just for the parts

ZKW also supply LHD halogen headlights together with VALEO
