1 series "hairdresser" car comments

Getting ribbed by some friends about my car looking like a hairdressers car

Experienced the same? What was the retort? Us hairdressers need to stick together!!

Cant say anyone has said it to me but I am certain that people do describe my car that way.

That said, I have plenty of names for what other people drive so I guess it balances out for me.

Maybe we should take a poll of who has occupation of "hairdresser" or "other" here, then show the results of said poll to our friends who make that statement?

An 11 second BMW doesn't really look or go like your average hairdressers car IMO.

Maybe an Audi A1.

Yeah, I've always thought the "hairdresser" stuff for the 1's was referring to the hatches not the coupes?

I went from a Celica to my 1. Yes hairdresser comments are common.

But. I promote the image haha, both of my cars have been modified to break the stereotype.

So what's wrong with being a hairdresser anyway?

Now, if I was driving a Toy or Sub 86/BRZee thing I would be disappointed if I wasn't accused of being a hairy dresser.

1M is the answer. Bald headed paratrooper swinging a chain, not a hairdresser.

I only get
Bogan: 'is that your mums car?'
Me: .. No?
Bogan: oh really? Ok then
Me: wtf :/

Fun looking like one of the 4cyl hatches and giving people a surprise - even if it had a badge it'd be surprising

I had a 335 once. I gave it to my Mrs. She doesn't cut hair though

We binned it with 8k on the clock and bought an M Coupe. Which she couldn't drive, so sold that.

My ex just got a Lotus Elise. Ironic.

Dunno if it's as bad as Clarkson calling the 520 "the car your dentist might drive"

I admit I'm soft. But I fail to see why someone buys a track car but doesn't track it :

I bought an old mans car and am trying to turn it into a track car so I can drive it on the track, whilst still being able to have a dd. sorry if you have taken my flippant nature as a poke
