530xi Wheels - Looks like they are PERFECT for 1ers for FAT Tires

BMW Style 124

I think that I might have found a set of wheels that is already produced that fits 245s/275s and appears to be the correct offset for the 1 series.

Front - 18x8 ET 43 11,23kg (25lbs)

Rear - 18x9 ET 55 11,23kg (25lbs)

They might even look decent on our cars. The offset seems about perfect.

What do you think??!

Part numbers are:

Front Wheel, 8" x 18" (PN: 36 11 6 767 541)
Rear Wheel, 9" x 18" (PN: 36 11 6 767 542)

Very unsure about that rear offset. 3/4" further towards the inside of the fender than a stock wheel.

Garage List
I assume you would have to roll the fenders to get those size tires in there? You would probably run into some issues too if you have significant negative camber I would think. Sounds tasty though! I like them.

That's where there is a TON of room. There isn't much on the outside with wider wheels.

Obviously, things need to be tried to make sure 100%, but with that offset and width, it is likely that no rolling would be needed for 275s in the rear, and no change to camber settings.

BMW OEM wheels always had a sporty look, and I loved them. I think the 530xi wheel would look great on the 1-series--especially since you'd be getting the right offset. Should fit the 1-series well!

Nice find, Larry!

I calculate the fronts would be the same distance from the strut as the 18x7.5 OE 135i wheel.

The rear wheels would only be 9mm closer to the inside and 3mm closer to the outside of the fender.

Front tire fitment might be an issue with a 245x40, perhaps too tall in the front. Maybe 235x40 or 245x35 fronts and 265x35 rears would be a more conservative street setup.

So are any of you 1Addicts interested in pursuing a set of these? Larry and I are trying to track down a used set.

If any of you are also trying to track them down.. Please be aware that the non-XI version (530i, 535i, etc) are a totally different offset, and cannot be used on our cars.

You MUST get the XI version for them to work. Unfortunately, they are both listed as Style 124
