Post 1M Exhaust Clips: OEM vs. Aftermarket

Thought I would compile a 'soundclip' thread. We actually have a lot of options which is great for a limited run vehicle. Feel free to add your own clip and I can update the original post.

I had the SS on my E36 and loved it. Great quality with minimal adjustments needed during install too! Some E9xM guys had trouble actually getting one or had to wait forever!

I'll probably just go stock axle-back with CP-E c@tless downpipes and mid-pipes.

That plus the JB4 and WW meth kit should make for a very fun daily driver!

I have Active on my e92 and Billy Boat on my e46. Listening to these I prefer the OEM on the 1M. I think they really did it right with this car.

Ligthweight Titanauspuffanlage has also two for the 1M (one with and one without TüV / EWG)

And Manhart will also bring a titan exhaust

I like the supersprint possibly the best but you can not get the true representation on camera

saying that I think the oem exhaust is not half bad and maybe more to my needs these days, my other car has a full turbo back milltek and running pretty much stripped out (no sound proofing etc) it just resonates inside the cabin and sounds like a fighter jet at full throttle so I am not sure how much I want to take the 1M this time around, but time will tell lol

Says it´s akrapovic.. In my opinion too loud. Suppose it´s with the wireless kit and the valve open..

We should also keep a track of folks and vids of some 'custom' setups. I have my MadDad midpipes hanging around off my 135i, and was planning on slapping them on the 1///M. The HPA car is running an aftermarket midpipe on stock exhaust too (Berk IIRC) and I recall the guys commenting it sounded sweet.

PS: That last clip of the Akra on the street car is darn loud!

Sounded to me at first like a wood chopper LOL I clicked on some other clips from the street and it sounds a lot better than the ^^^ represents (they must have a DCI or the like as you can clearly hear the intake noise)

Well, IMO it sounds a lot better than a

Intake noise? You mean the sound of the turbos right? DCI or not, I like it.

Nice find ^^^ I like the valve feature, although it seems to operate differently than in the Akra (here it is a function of the boost level, as opposed to keeping it either fully open or closed all of the time [i.e. regardless of boost levels] like Akra's functionality allows you to).

Is it me or is that interior red???

Eisenmann sport exhaust for 1M enough loud?

I'm planing to buy a BMW 1M and also a aftermarket exhaust. In the video it does not sound so loud. I think live it will sound buch better. did someone hear it live?

You know if the eisenmann exhaust in the video is the sport or race version?

Regards
Flavush

Hi,

I just got the Kelleners Sport software for the 410 HP and I´m interested in getting a good quality exhaust + great sound for the 1M but with the best price, since I will have to import it to Mexico. I think titanium will be out of the options, so what would you recommend?

Cheer!
