This is going to be one of those cars where the COLOR you pick will be a big determining factor or how it looks. This car looks different in so many colors. Imagine this in black or that blue we've seen. Or lets say, white. It would look amazing. I am impressed thus far. I think the back is annoying many people because you cannot see the 3rd brake light.

I think that will help my opinion of the back end a lot--might set it off just right....

I can see it...ran these thru i-photo...a piss poor version of photoshop- anyway, yes, I can see the centermounted taillight.
I'm pretty sure this is a combo of florescent and natural light... the color is skewed...reds run into the blue spectrum so color is not really accurate.
Also, isn't this riding a little high? To repeat...the wheels suck but I'm sure those killer 5-spokes will be on offer..
Also, I liked the blacked out front lower fascia on the Hans Stuck car much more.

No, they are real. I tried to clean them up a tad but there's so much refelection, crummy res., bad lighting, I didn't do much at all. This is more like it.

I like the fact that it has its own style.....very different from the 3series

It will be a killer if the price is not too high......
put on nice mags and another color and you ll have the fastest and hottest compact car on the market......A NEW LEGEND WAS BORN TODAY

I like the back....actually I`m more sceptical about the front which might look a bit outdated without the M pack

Yes, cheapo lens...really nasty distortion on the width of the car, deliberately bad, and released just to keep the fire warm. BMW is playing nice today.

Agree, without M-Sport fascias it's a bit vanilla.

Once again it will be the darker colors to the rescue to make the exterior less bland and more exciting.

Make mine either Monaco Blue / Terra or Sprarkeling Graphite / Imola.

Oh yeah and definetly the 5 spokes!!

Anybody want a ZCP M3???

Had the same thought.

The tires in the two newer pictures seem to be narrower and the car doesn't seem to have as low a stance as the one in the "cell phone" pic. May be my imagination, but I'm seeing a non-ZSP car in the two better quality pictures, and a ZSP car in the grainy pic.

As for the whole dual exhaust debate - go back and look at the grey "car wash" photos. You'll see that the lower nosepiece/spoiler is different (much more conservative looking), and the exhaust is definitely a single pipe with an oval tip. I believe those pictures were of a forthcoming 128i. When the "Hans Stuck driving the car at the 'Ring" photos of the red car surfaced, I noticed right away that it had the more aggressive facia (with the intercooler behind), and a double exhaust. Look closely. What now seems to be confirmed as the 135 does have dual exhaust. However, the two individual pipes are routed out next to each other at the same opening rather than being routed out of their own separate openings on opposite sides of the diffuser as was done on the 335i. Even though they both exit in the same place, they are dual exhausts.

Excited to see these new photos, but now I need to know for sure whether the better pics are of a non-ZSP car and the cell-phone pic is of a car with ZSP. I like the stance of the cell-pic car. Not as much on the other one.

Yeah i noticed that too.
But dam these wheels on the car just suck. They do nothing for the car if u ask me, if anything they make the car look a little cheep just like the standard wheels on the base 328i make that car look cheep too.

I wonder why the trunk badge (135i) is so far to the left? It should be further to the right.

The photo quality of these photo's is pretty sketch, so I really wouldn't think too much of anything at this point. I'm sure the actual P.R. photo's will yield more accurate perspective.

:iono: Honestly, the rearlights of the little coupé are not that great - but nevertheless the rest of it seems quite good to me...

Indeed, where have they hidden the foglights???

The darkred isn't the hottest colour - generally I'm more the sapphire black/sparkling type...

The exposed car doesn't seem to be a M-Sport - as the interior sky is held in that clear grey...(in opposite to the black trim applied in the M-Sport version...) - an I hate that extorior chrome line...

Chrome line sucks

I'd take a black one with M-Sports and 18'' rims - then it'll rule :roundel:

Back looks awful ! The colour doesn't help...but even so it's disjointed, like a lump of dough that happened to fall in the gap...

I will reserve final judgement for the press pics and of course when I see it in the flesh, and in a proper colour.

Sorry but that red sucks with a capital S !
