Can I assume a 9" rear wheel around ET48-50 is an unlikely possibility?

What about the 9.5" rear with an offset above ET50?

By the way I didn't know the v710 was available in 18" at all?

9" Rear wheel would be a significant investment (well into the 5 digits) and so the GB's would have to be more structured in order for everyone's interests to be fulfilled.

By saying "above 50" what is the exact number? I'd have to check on that for you. There is an offset range to which certain wheels would work... I can evaluate / impact test test whatever offset you like.

I'm sorry but our website is horribly outdated and so the 18" isn't even listed on there.

In either case to make a purchase on the presently available fitments, please contact one of our vendors (Jlevi/EAS/Pyspeed/**********s) who is authorized to make transactions on 1Addicts. I love to provide technical info such as this, but would hate to see your thread shut down due to the perception that it may be commercial in nature

I would buy them right now if you offered the same fitment as your VB3's... I'm glad to see that this is possible... Now when?

Duly noted. I will evaluate this on my next round of planning. So no promises yet.

Alternatively you can submit your request to your favorite 1Addict vendor. Because there is a production minimum to make things happen, this commitment can be fulfilled in one of three ways - ourselves alone, group buy, or a vendor.

Great discussion we have here, it gets the message to the decision maker

That's great Peter at least we are now getting factual information regarding what is possible.

I'm personally may be happy with having a square set-up so the wider rear is only an option to me but seeing I started this thread, I will ask on behalf of others that may want a 9.5" rear.

I personally think that 9" ET50 is a perfect as seen here which can perhaps give a reference.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=13

They seen to fit the rear arch perfect with no mods to fender so my calculations are that a 9.5" wheel is 13mm wider (6.5mm to outer edge) so could ET56 work? Not sure what clearance will be needed on the inside to clear the shocks, perhaps someone can confirm who already has 9.5" ET45 rear is there's more than 11mm?

For reference -

Here's a link to some pictures taken of 999ducman's recently fitted v710 in the currently available 19x8.5 ET35 & 19x9.5 ET45 to show how much they stick out.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=39

It would seem that some prefer this look which in this case 9.5" ET45 is already available for the rear so those would only be concerned about the front offset.

I think we are getting somewhere with this thread so I will list some possibilities -

18x8.5 ET45
18x9.5 ET56? TBC

19x8.5 ET45
19x9.5 ET56? TBC

For those wanting 9.5" rear, please look at the links above and express your opinions. The offsets that I have mentioned will mean the wheels will stick out less 10mm front and 11mm rear to the picture with v710's in the link.

I'm hoping that we don't steer too far off an agreement to what look you are looking for. For those who like the out of arch look, the ET45 is already available.

PLEASE!!!

to those who worship concavity:
potential concavity is a function of the lateral spacing from the hub to the fender on any given car. ignore offsets and widths. the 135i hub sits very far outboard, in relation to the fender lip, leaving very little "frontspacing". if you want something as concave as the current csl replica, it's going to rub the fender just as much. please, lets all just abandon the idea of having very concave wheels that dont rub... it's just not going to happen. instead, i propose we focus on getting wheels that FIT, and are noticably wider than OEM.

Sorry, missed the thread

18/19 x 8.5 ET45 is possible and fairly straightforward.
18/19 x 9.5 ET45 already exists but I am still checking the possibility of something higher. Maybe ET50.

So 9.5 ET45 is completely out of the question? I did see some requests

I think some have already said this is a little aggressive for some as it requires some fender work. Perhaps ET50 will satisfy most? I personally think above ET52 will be better and those who want the super aggressive fender work done can opt for the 9.5" ET45's on the rear as this is already available.

If you can tell me if 8.5" ET45 is definitely going to happen then I'll be on the list.

I think you may find that the VB3's will have a few more takers at these offsets too but that another topic......

If this happens what kind of finishes are we looking at. Could we get the GunMetal Finish like on the VB3s?

Could we get these in something like

18x8 ET40
18x9 ET45

I'm not good with offset but those would work right?

I think it's already been mentioned earlier that to do 8" or 9" would be major investment which is why the discussion is focusing on current wheel sizes already available but with offset sizes to fit the 1 series.

Latest info. is (perhaps Peter can confirm)

18x8.5 ET45
18x9.5 ET50-55 (To be confirmed)
18x9.5 ET45 (already available to buy but will require fender work)

19x8.5 ET45
19x9.5 ET50-55 (To be confirmed)
19x9.5 ET45 (already available to buy but will require fender work)

^ Gotcha. I need to read these threads more carefully. Will that 18" stretch my current 225/255 setup?

I plan on keeping this size PS2 for a while as I find them to be a great balance of perforamance and price. The PS2 is expensive enough as is...don't need to spend more money for more rubber than I need in regular road driving.

BTW do we have any idea how much this will cost?

Your current size is ideal for this set up.

How long are we talking til production? I'm interested in 18's or 19's in a gunmetal or hyperblack color. I'm not willing to do any fender work.
