Hi John,

I've been looking at a tune for my 135i. I've read that the PPK1/2 system gets rid of the aggressive start-up exhaust note when cold. Is this true?

I wanted to go the PPK2 route as well for the upgraded cooling and the other higher rated components. The power isn't that substantial but I don't care for it just yet. Rays G25's first

It was great to see some familiar and new faces today.

I came away with Lux angel lights and a Cobb AP (Thx to Stu), got home and installed the stage 1 stock throttle sport tune, felt more responsive but not earth shattering. I will try stage 1 ST aggressive tune in a few days and see if that will give more oomph....then back to Peter for oil change and dyno in another 2000kms.

Thanks to Peter and the crew for hosting the day.

Well my car is still quite loud on a cold start, and I don't think the PPK has made any difference to that. The PPK is expensive for what you get, so in most cases it makes more sense to get a aftermarket oil cooler and tune as required. If my car was out of the warranty period, then that's what I would have done. Even if your car still has warranty left, its worth weighing up the various options before deciding on the PPK. The PPK doesn't have many fans here because the power gain is low. I'm happy to answer your questions about it by PM if you like. I don't think further PPK discussion is very relevant to this thread.

I am keen to know what the story is with Inverted's so called PPK by BMW, me thinks there is some BMW Bullsh1t going on with that one. Reflash time.

True... If "John-01" with same PPK on a N55 produced 212kws, then something is seriously wrong. I think BMW reflashed fly-inverted (185kw) back to stock, as they couldn't correct his error codes.

i'll let you know how i go guys. i'll ring BMW tomorrow and start that drama.

I can't say i was impressed to find out that after $2K for the PPK, and being told it was finally installed and operating correctly on 7 August 2012, the dyno showed a stock car only.

I would be upset also, I've ordered PPK with mine so after break-in I'm going to dyno it.

... Took Quang for a spin, as he was in the market for a Cobb for his 1M.

Well...The rest is history.. You can imagine the thunderous exhaust note of the Meisterschaft launching then mid flight.

Then we swapt drivers to give Quang a feel......He got the gestures from the neighbour and not me..

Thanks Peter and the Advan team for organising this.

Great meeting everyone there - new and old faces!

Also, good fun putting the Merc on there.....the car pulled more looks from the women than it did kW

I thought you'd like that one. So when are we snipping those diodes or you still happy with your old skool G5.

Here's my dyno graph. I'd like to see some more dyno sheets uploaded.

well fcuk if my old mans car could rank equal with the beast with just a few snips line me up and i'll part out the bolt ons.

Just one question with the 20% e85. When you put 80 in from the 98 hose and then pick up the e85 hose for another 20%, do you need to look lost

I'm reconsidering the bolt ons as this is a nice amount of power while still comfortable for daily duties. Just need the meth and it should be sweet.

I don't like the other fuels from United including the 100 octane but I have done it before and you do look like an idiot not knowing what fuel to put in the car.
