New Member Intro
Hi guys. I am a new member here and just wanted to say hi. I am also a member (same user name) on the 2002 Faq Page, and R3VLimitted.
My girl friend and I just purchased a 2010 135i. It is black on black with the sport package and a few other doodads, blinky lights, and things that go BING We just got the car from BMW Concord yesterday. I am new to new BMW's, but not new to BMW. I have owned a 1976 BMW 2002, a 1991 BMW 318i (modified), and still own a 1974 BMW 2002 which I am currently working on... a lot. We traded our 2007 Mini S in for the 135. I am spending a lot of money on my 2002 project but after seeing a set of BBS LM reps and reading the DIY section here I am already planning a few small things for out 1 series. Nothing huge, just cosmetic stuff. The 135i. Sorry it is a bit dirty but we were forced to park it under some trees last night So fare I am very happy with it, and so is the lady friend. My first car, the '76 '02. I was in the middle of prepping it for paint when it got hit by a freind, which totaled the car out. I did not know it at the time, but I could have fixed this my self... My 318i. I was young and dumb and full of... well you know. I crashed it. It was lowered on H&R sport springs and Bilstien Sport struts, had some black Rota wheels, and a few other odds and ends. Fun car! And my current project car. You can read my whole project thread over at R3V. It currently has a stripped interior, bolt in cage, Racing seats and belts, urethane bushing all around, 22mm sway bars, Ireland stage 2 springs, Bilstien sport struts, Volvo big brake upgrade in the front, braided brake lines, rear strut tower brace w/battery relocation, and a few other odds and ends. I am currently working on a m20b25 from a '91 325i that will go into my '02. Should be plenty of fun. The car is not great to look at but it is a blast to drive. Thats all I want out of it. It will be my track rat. Thats about it. If you would like to know more details about my '02 project here is the thread. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=146243 Most of the motor details are towards the end. Thanks for reading! Cheers! |
