335i Quaife LSD fit on 135i?

So there is someone local that is selling his car and he offered me a pumpkin swap.

He said his 2007 335i AT pumpkin with Quaife LSD will fit the 135i?

Is this true?

He told me $3000 for a pumpkin swap not sure if its worth it?

Toying with the idea if everything is a perfect fit...

Not sure that is why I am asking - I know you can get the lsd brand new for like 1.4kish.

But then you need to installed to your diff, this is just a straight diff swap so not sure. Which means I get to keep my stock one.

I will ask Peter

They are the same, by that an auto 135/335 are the same, the same for DCT and MT but the 3 A/MT/DCT are all different! plus there is some confusion as to when the welded diff came in. the easiest IMHO is a full final drive swap. If you are lucky and have a bolted diff you can buy a Quaife for like 1500 and just swap out the pumpkin. sadly for me I have welded DCT which is like 5k for a complete final drive unit, so I'm holding out for now

Ray send Harold from HPA an email. I'm sure he can verify the correct answer for you. He knows his stuff.

this is swapping the whole thing so I guess is more expensive.

Yeah I am not

Anyway is a no go I just got a reply from Harold @ HPA.

"No, 2007 automatic 335i use a large housing final drive, not the small one used on 2008 and later 335i and 135i."

Kinda glad there is no temptation haha...
