The stock knob and boot can be used if you so desire. When it came to removing the carrier, we didn't use a special tool, just a long screwdriver to press the clip in and pulled the bushing out. To remove the actual gear lever, we put two screwdrivers together to push the sides and turned it 90 degrees. It popped out in a jiffy. Removal took about 30 minutes. I imagine the install would take another 30 minutes or so (just doing all the steps backwards). |
