The 4100's are rebound adjustable only. The 4200's are both rebound and compression adjustable, which is nice to have. In addition, the 4200's only come in the M3 style rear shock, so you will need to upgrade to the M3 lower control arms to use the 4200's, so that changes the price. The 4100's can be had either way in the rear.

I know they won't be nearly as good but how would kw v3 be compared to the öhlins. How much worse would they be because I came across a great deal on a set of them.

I'm also thinking of coilovers for my 135 vert. And I'm running Zeal Function Xs on my Evo VIII with great success. Very comfy and compliant even with 10k/10k springs. Corner balancing is a must for coilovers!
I wonder if zeal makes for BMWs... |

Sounds like a deal on the KW's. Which LSD are you installing?

Double adjustable/two ways = adjust rebound and bound/compression There are 3 ways and 4 ways as well, but they are purely race dampers and cost a fortune. |

You can't go wrong with the Ohlins R&T, even out of the box. However, for more performance both on the road and track you can upgrade to Swift springs of slightly higher rate. Keep in mind that you are not giving up ride quality much by any means. The Ohlins are so good at taking all sort of undulations on the road, big or small with their DFV technology.
