I would buy the 135 without question, but then again that's what I did. Did you test drive it? That's all it took for me to make the change. Actually the 335 was not even an option..I was leaning towards the e46 M3 or 135i. Besides the 135 is a sports car...the 335 is a sports sedan. Add some mods, EG Cobb AP, FMIC, DPs, mids, axle back, sway bars, & coilovers, wheels, and you are set.

For me the price difference between a 335 & 135 wasnt a actor. The way the 135 drives.....smaller car with same motor setup, wanted a rwd....tired of awd drivetrain loss and wanted the rwd fun factor.....

As a person who once considered a 335i and ended up buying a 135i instead, I say drive it first. I remember that day I went to see a CPO 335i, and was offered by the dealer to try a new '11 135i as well. I was sold immediately!

ditto-
I too was looking for a 335 coupe for a long time. Saw a 135 on a lot and liked the styling more than the 335. Took it for a spin and my new search was on...for a 135i. After owning mine for close to a year, i know i made the right decision.

The size was the biggest factor for me. The newer 3s seem to be as big as the older 5s...granted, the 1 isn't any featherweight but it feels small at least....that and I've seen one other 1 around base.
I wouldn't really consider it a 'sports car' Ken, but rather a sport coupe....not that it matters lol. Usually reserve that title for a 2 seater though.
