Best DCT Drag Settings

Taking my 135 to the drag strip for the first time tonight and I'm wondering from those who have done it what the best way to go is?

DCT mode?
Traction control full off?

Should I fill up before or stay light?

its not a stupid reason, with added power the LC just bangs in the 1st gear
you dont want anything to break under power

I was wrong. Lc does work. Anyone know what the period you have to wait is before you can do it again?

Don't use the LC. Turn the traction control off ( 1 brief push). Just stomp it on the yellow light on the tree. It will rev to 2500 RPM and dump the clutch. My best time at Orlando last summer was 13.2 at 103 MPH. Launch control was slower. Note that I ditched the RFT's and switched to the Conti DW before this.

I don't use LC. One push on TC button. Lever into sport mode & sport button pushed. Try a second gear start, tires will like it better. If its a N54 shift around 6200 a N55 shift around 5900. Torque & horsepower power drop off quickly as you get to red line.

Go on last yellow & stay out of the bleach box with street tires. Quick dry burnout will heat the tires.

Oh yeah- shift with the paddles at 6500 RPM in every gear- nothing gained after that.

My best run ended up being a 13.31 and that was my best start which I think was just nailing it, letting up and then back on the power. The rest of my starts sucked. Hopefully now that I have a little better insight on how to launch Ill have better luck next time Im out there.

Was this at PBIR? What was your trap speed at the end of the 1/4 mile?

It was at speedworld orlando. my trap speed on that run was 106.8, which was roughly my average.

Now that i figured out launch control a bit better im hoping to do better next time I go back.

This car shifts at 6100

I think they are having fun. If you want to know where to shift get a dyno run plot the curve pick shift points that will keep you with the most time inside the power curve, then see where the top runners are shifting.
