Are saying it won't unlock when you pull lever like it should? What if you push the unlock betton on the dash does it then open right away when you pull the levers or takes a few times? I'm assuming you have had the car awhile so you know when it's locked if you don't push the unlock buttons you must pull the lever twice once to unlock then again to open. Explain what action it takes to get it to open or what exactly you have to do

Door

If I use the door unlock button then no problem,What happens is that when I drive the doors auto lock and when I turn the car off I try to use the lever by the door and I cant open the door unless I use the unlock button by the vents.

What is supposed to happen is one pulls the handle 2 times, I thinks its a BMW thing.

That's the way mine functions... Wife just keeps pulling, drives me crazy.

Pull then pull again

Yeah if you didn't unlock the doors the first pull unlocks and the second opens.

I don't really like the auto lock feature, so I turned it off. There are instructions on how to do so in the owner's manual. Be aware that this setting follows the key, so if you want it for both keys, you need to program it for each.

This is also a great change to stop your passengers trying to pull the door lever off

Are you saying that the 2nd pull attempt doesn't open the door either? If so, then that's a problem and you need to get it looked at.

If it does open on the 2nd pull, then like the others have said, that's by design. It's actually a safety feature. First pull unlocks the door, second pull opens it. This is to prevent an accidental opening of the door if you were to inadvertently pull the lever by mistake while driving, it would only unlock the first time but the door would remain closed.
