I experienced leatherette first hand last weekend. My Dad and I went to test-drive a VW Toureg and we thought it was leather until the guy told us it wasnt!!! I couldnt believe it. I wonder if bmw leatherette is like that. It was a nice SUV btw. Its just not for him.

Haha, we drove the V6 one actually. We checked out the MDX, Toureg, and Escalade, Range Rover Sport, and X5. He's narrowed it down to two. The Range Rover or the 400hp Escalade. I like the RR, but the Escalade is so BIG and SHINY...lol. I'll know by next week which one he bought.

I would actually probably get iDrive if they didn't charge such a premium for it.

I'm a very practical guy. I like the smell of leather, but I will choose the leatherette because I keep my car for more than five years.

I would choose a nice sporty cloth interior over leather* any day though.

I think I want a nav in my next car. It's just more convenient even though I get lost maybe 1 or twice a year but it's those time you wished you had one. Does BMW charge you for traffic data?

Also, the iDrive to iPod/Iphone interface is a nice touch.

that saddle looks beautiful.. terra not so much, just doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of the interior, maybe its clashing with the dark greyscale dash or something?

I think that this is one of those times that I will need to see a bunch of combos before I make my final decision. :iono:

Saddle is definitely gorgeous. I saw the Terra in a 750i AW and it was definitely a perfect fit in the 750. Personally, my favorite is the Imola interior. I wonder if that will be offered...

Which colors are offered in leatherette and which ones in leather?

I haven't gotten a 1 brochure yet...just a major itch for it.

I test drove a 335 a few weeks ago...then heard about the 1.
Since I'm a track day drivin', MINI ownin' person I believe a 1 will be a great step up for me.

Any and all opinions on the MINI to 1 move and the requested color information is greatly appreciated.
