Clutch pedal "CREAK"

I have a creak in the clutch pedal when releasing. Its not an audible creak but I can feel it through the pedal and sole of my shoe.

I can feel it when the pedal is about 70% released and just feels like a click at the end of the pedal release.. My car has 22,000km on the dial.

Could it be a defective clutch plate..

Any thoughts/anyone else have this creak, before I head of to the dealer?

I had that happen too, a creak that you could feel and hear during both clutch engagement and release. Started around 15,000 km. I griped to the dealer, and the techs lubed the whole thing up. I haven't had a problem since...

Mine has answer thing but the noise is intermittent and the dealer says they can't get it to do it while there. I am going raise the roof off that place if they don't fix it at my next oil change.

I had this for a while when I released the pedal but it seems to have gone away. I think it's an issue with the pedal, not the clutch.

Had this issue on my Old E36, I just sprayed some WD40 to the clutch pedal bushings and it solved the problem.

Yeah, check your bushings. Recommend sil-glyde aerosol as it is safe on rubber parts. Dont want anything petroleum around rubber bushes.

I had the same issue, took it to BMW and all they did was lube the clutch pedal assembly and it was fixed.
